Laugh-a-minute by Tanya Piejus
Emerging from the depths of the Hutt Valley, comedians Jerome Chandrahasen (voted best Wellington Comedian) and Patch Lambert (Billy T nominee) are coming together on the 2nd of March at The Fringe Bar for a one-night-only, laugh-a-minute hour of unforgettable comedy that you don't want to miss!
The show was birthed by the two dads while chatting during a carpooling ride into Wellington for a regular gig and deciding to “chuck on a show together”.
Host of The Fringe Bar’s Raw Meat Monday, Chandrahasen says it’ll be “half an hour each. Some old material, some new material, just a good fun night out”. Promising personal stories about growing up in the Hutt and raising a family while trying to fit gigs around everything going on in life, the show offers plenty of observational comedy.
“A laugh a minute is a reasonable aim”, declares Chandrahasen. “Maybe two to three laughs a minute, that’s always good. Under promise, over deliver!”
Full of praise for his co-star, Chandrahasen enthuses, “Patch is such a friendly, good-natured guy. There’s a lot of relatable stuff for anyone who’s been a parent. Both Patch and I enjoy talking to the audience. It’s always about including the audience in our shows and connecting with people in the room. It’s a warm and friendly kind of vibe. It’s never about making fun of people and it’s a great entry point if you’ve never been to stand-up comedy before.”
