Merry Christmas from us to you
We can’t believe it’s nearly Christmas already! And again! With 2024 approaching faster than Santa shimmies down a chimney, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank our readers and clients for their enduring support and round up all the good things that happened this year.
We’re proud to still be here after another year of spreading the word about what’s on, where to go, and what to do in Welly as the last remaining free arts newspaper in the region – and the only home-delivered one to boot. With the print industry doing it tough these days, we couldn’t have pulled it off without a strong belief in what we do and an incredible team to do it. Many of us have been here since Regional News started nine years ago, with some new additions in the mix too.
At the start of 2023, we welcomed Cade to our graphic design team and Alessia as our full-time journalist. January is ever the time for new beginnings and growth, so we’re excited to announce we’re currently looking for a new sales executive to come on board with us in the New Year. Our sales manager will be interviewing candidates over the holidays, so email your CV to frances@regionalnews.kiwi if you’re keen.
Speaking of holidays! Regional News will close for the silly season from the 15th of December to the 15th of January. The bumper issue you’re reading now will tide you over until we’re back in the office. As soon as we set foot in the door, our 16th of January issue will start hitting the stands. Don’t worry, we’re still taking a break!
Meri Kirihimete and see you on the flip side.
