It’s fun to have fun, but you have to know how. Take a lesson from an expert at Dr Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat – Live on Stage, careening into Carterton Events Centre, Lower Hutt Little Theatre, and Southward Theatre on the 15th, 16th, and 17th of January… with Thing One and Thing Two in tow!

Sit down in a seat at the theatre and brace yourself for oodles and bucketloads of mischief and mayhem. Dr Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat – Live on Stage was adapted in 2009 by the National Theatre of Great Britain and has been touring around New Zealand and Australia since 2018, bringing smiles, belly laughs, and zany characters to theatres near and far. The 50-minute show for those aged three to 103 stays faithful to the classic children’s book by Dr. Seuss, taking audiences on an unmissable adventure that starts off on a rainy day.

… and in waltzes the mischief-making Cat in his iconic striped hat. An afternoon of wonder and whimsy, chaos and creativity ensues – it’s amazing what you can do with nothing but a little imagination – but we’ll leave the particulars up to you.

Dr Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat – Live on Stage is a rollicking ride for Kiwis both little and big.

Get ready for the world to go all topsy turvy and whirligig!
